Lauren Kitchens is an aspiring Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a dedicated MSW student. Lauren brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to helping individuals and families navigate their unique challenges. With a background in group work focused on bereavement, Lauren has spent 11 years honing skills in creating a supportive and empathetic environment for children, teens, and adults facing grief and loss.

Lauren’s passion for mental health and well-being extends to diverse populations, including neurodivergent individuals and the LGTBQIA community. Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, Lauren is equipped with valuable tools to assist clients in managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship stress, and interpersonal challenges. Additionally she is actively pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma.

In her personal life, Lauren finds joy in spending quality time with her twins (they are growing up so quickly), and cherishes the companionship of her hyper dog and cat. Lauren also prioritizes mindfulness techniques in her own daily life routine, recognizing their power in promoting mental and emotional well-being.

Lauren’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and diverse, drawing from various theoretical frameworks to tailor treatment to individual needs. Her goal is to empower clients to express their authentic selves and build lives they can be proud of.
